CONSERVATION
It’s a Way of Life!
Run only full loads in dish
and clothes washers.
Did you know?
• Laundry accounts for about 22%
of an average household’s water
use. Run only full loads whenever
possible, and always select the
lowest water level for your load.
• Front loading washers use 1/3 less
water than top loading washers.
• Always have a full load of dishes
before your run the dishwasher.
Always select the water and energy
saving cycles.
Outdoors:
• More desert plants die from
over-watering than from underwatering.
Watch your plants to
determine how much they really
need – some desert plants only
need weekly or monthly watering
during winter. For a great resource

Blood, Sweat and Tears
and the Guess Who:
Two Powerful Bands, One Performance
By Cathy Jardine
Blood, Sweat and Tears and The Guess
Who made a spectacular performance on Saturday,
February 2nd at the Spotlight 29 Casino
in Coachella.
BST is an American music group formed
in 1967 in New York City. The band fused
rock, blues and jazz into a hybrid that came
to be known as “jazz-rock”. The Guess Who
started off in 1960 in Winnepeg, Canada, and
9
they eventually fused into jazz-rock as well.
BST performed some of their string of hits,
which include “You’ve Made Me So Very
Happy”, “Spinning Wheel” and “And When I
Die”. The Guess Who performed their charttoppers,
which include “American Woman”,
“These Eyes” and “No Sugar Tonight.”
Together, both bands captivated the audience
and they were all amazed to see two
great acts in one spectacular show.
